Refund Policy
One payment, lifetime access — and if it isn't for you, a straightforward way back out. Here is exactly how refunds work.
Requesting a refund
- You can request a full refund within 30 days of your purchase — no questions, no forms beyond a simple ask.
- Because purchases are processed by Paddle (paddle.net), who acts as the seller of record, refund requests can be made either by emailing hello@theenvelopemethod.com from the address you purchased with, or through Paddle's support at paddle.net with your receipt or order number.
What happens after a refund
- When a refund is issued (or a payment is charged back), a 30-day wind-down begins. During those 30 days everything keeps working exactly as before — nothing is locked and nothing is deleted.
- A banner in the app shows how many days remain. If you change your mind, buying again at any point during the wind-down clears it immediately.
- After the 30 days, your account returns to the free version. Everything you created stays visible; items beyond the free limits (extra accounts, extra envelopes) become read-only rather than being removed.
What we never do
- We never delete your budgeting data because of a refund.
- We never hold your data hostage to pressure a repurchase.
- We never process refunds silently — you will always receive an email confirming the refund and the date the wind-down ends.
Contact
- The Envelope Method is operated by Klynton Brian Crabbe. Refund questions can be sent to hello@theenvelopemethod.com.
