Privacy Policy
A budgeting tool should treat your information the way it treats your money: carefully, and only for the job you gave it. Here is exactly what we collect and what we never do with it.
What we collect
- Your account details: the email address and display name you use to sign up.
- Your budgeting data: the accounts, envelopes, transactions, schedules and shared-expense records you create. Money is stored in cents and we never store bank account or card numbers.
- Files you upload for import: bank statements, PDFs, screenshots and CSVs. These are used only to extract transactions and are deleted as soon as those transactions are recorded.
- Basic technical information: the page you were on, screen size and browser details, only when you submit a bug report.
What we never do
- We never record your bank account or card numbers.
- We never see your payment card details — payments are handled entirely by our payment provider, Paddle.
- We never sell your data, show you ads, or share your information with advertisers or data brokers.
- We never keep your uploaded statements, screenshots or CSVs once the transactions from them have been recorded.
How your information is used
- To run your budget: showing your envelopes, plan, calendar, accounts and shared expenses back to you.
- To send you service emails: sign-in links, purchase receipts, refund notices, and sharing invitations you initiate.
- To fix problems: bug reports you submit, with the technical details you chose to include.
Where your information lives
- Your budget lives in the app's own database. The services that run this site — hosting and the database — exist to keep it working, and none of them harvest, analyse or sell end-user records.
- There are no third-party analytics, ad trackers or marketing pixels anywhere in the app. Nothing about your spending is sent to anyone for measurement or advertising.
- Lovable, the platform this app is built and hosted on, does not collect, track or sell any data on this app's users, and end-user records are never used for AI training.
Sharing with other users
- If you use shared expenses, the people you split with can see the transactions, amounts and display name attached to those splits. Placeholder people and invitations only ever go where you send them.
- Your profile details are visible only to you and to people you genuinely share with.
Payments
- Purchases are processed by Paddle (paddle.net), who acts as the seller of record and handles payment card details and sales tax. We receive a record of the purchase and your email address so we can unlock the full version on your account — we never receive or store your card number.
Deleting your account
- You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion removes your profile, accounts, envelopes, transactions, schedules, imports and purchase record. Where you shared expenses with someone else, their records are kept with your name shown as a placeholder person so their books still balance.
